Happy (?) Halloween

Courtesy of Matt Yglesias, have a Very Neoconservative Halloween!

In neoconservative fashion, I propose the following: Instead of giving out candy to children, you tell people that they should be more self-sufficient. After all, they should get jobs and stop depending on charity.

Then, you go to the rich kids and give all the candy to them.

OK, I'm running on empty this morning. If anyone has a neocon Halloween idea, post it in the comments.

Latest Right-Wing Frivolous Suit

Atrios got a letter from Donald Luskin's lawyer today.

I'm just guessing that there wouldn't be so many frivolous lawsuits clogging the courts if people weren't being meanies to right-wingers.

This is serious, though. The free speech ramifications of letters like this can (and, I suspect, have) send a chilling message to the blogosphere.

OK, can someone explain this?

Why on Earth is The New Republic promoting a movie about a former contributor who fabricated stories in their own magazine?

I mean, is this something you should promote?
